Just this morning I was thinking about this very subject--hospitality. We have a friend who comes over regularly for dinner, and I always try to cook foods that he doesn't often eat (our cultures are very different). He is coming over in a week or so, and I was wondering what I should cook for him. I recently made chicken tikka masala using a jar of sauce as a foundation. Many people consider sauce in a jar "cheating" or not truly homemade, but the meal was excellent! I'm considering serving it when our friend comes over. Thanks for the reminder that our home and meals don't have to be perfect. It's all about the hospitality--welcoming someone into our home and lives and enjoying their company.
